Our story here began long before we arrived. With deep family links to the area, Devon has always felt like home to us;somewhere tied to memories, traditions, and countless visits over the years. After spending so much of our time exploring its coastlines, villages, and hidden corners, we made the decision to make it official, moving here in August 2025.

Rainbow Cottage grew from a simple idea: to share what we’ve come to love so much about this place. We wanted to create somewhere that captures the feeling of Devon as we know it—not just as a destination, but as an experience. A place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and truly switch off.

One of the things that makes this spot so special is its balance. You’re never far from adventure, with the stunning seaside just a short drive away and the vibrant city of Exeter close at hand for shopping, dining, and culture. Yet here, nestled within the gentle landscape of the Blackdown Hills, there’s a sense of peace that’s increasingly hard to find.

It’s quiet in a way that feels restorative, where mornings begin with birdsong and evenings settle into stillness. Whether you’re here to explore or simply to pause, Rainbow Cottage is a place to reconnect, with nature, with each other, and maybe even with yourself.
